The day before surgery, do the following:

  • At 2:00 p.m., mix 3 measuring tablespoons (1/2 bottle) of Fleets Phospho-Soda with 8 oz. of water and drink entire mixture. This should be followed by one glass (8 oz.) of water or clear fruit juice.
  • At 7:00 p.m., mix 3 measuring tablespoons of Fleets Phospho-Soda with one-half glass (4 oz.) of water and drink. (The bottle of Fleets Phospho-soda should now be empty.)
  • Drink at least three (3) 8 oz. portions of clear liquids before going to bed, more if desired. You will start to have watery brown stools, then watery yellow or green stools. Finally, you will pass only clear yellow water with a few flecks.
